Tamellia Cobbs, 15, a sophomore at Castlemont High School, was hanging out with her friends in front of her aunt's house on 89th Avenue at 11 a.m. in the morning on November 11, 2002, when she was shot in a drive-by. Two boys standing near her were wounded.

News reports said that other children as young as young as nine years old were at the scene. They ran for cover when the shooting started.

Twenty-four hours later, friends and family stand vigil at the spot where she died.
